When I joined Knauf five years ago, it was a leap of faith. Coming from a background in structural engineering, I was stepping into something entirely new. What inspired me to take this step was the trust my future manager placed in me, encouraging me to explore a different career path. That trust became the foundation of my journey at Knauf, and it’s something I’ve carried with me ever since. What I enjoy most about my role is solving complex challenges. As an engineer, I thrive on navigating compliance and regulations, and my current position allows me to tackle these complexities on a global scale. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our work impacts different regions and markets, and I’m proud to contribute to innovations that shape the future of our industry. Knauf has been instrumental in my professional growth. Every year, I’ve had the opportunity to further educate myself, whether through certifications, training, or hands-on projects. One of the highlights of my career was working as a Product Owner in an agile team setup, which not only deepened my technical expertise but also helped me develop a mindset of collaboration and adaptability. These experiences have prepared me for my current role as Head of System Development, where I lead a team focused on creating global systems and driving innovation. While describing the company culture is challenging, I can confidently say that my team culture is exceptional. We regularly review how we work, redistribute workloads, and support one another. This isn’t always perfect, but it has fostered a strong sense of trust and team spirit. Working with a team of peers who are all in a similar stage of life—ranging from mid-30s to 50s—has created a dynamic and supportive environment where we can rely on each other to achieve our goals. Looking back, I’m grateful for the trust Knauf placed in me from the very beginning and for the opportunities I’ve had to grow both personally and professionally. It’s exciting to be part of a global company, and I look forward to continuing this journey.

After graduating in architecture and already working in the civil construction market, I always had Knauf as one of the greatest global companies in this segment: a family business with solid values, extremely reliable and committed to quality in absolutely everything it sets out to do. Years later, when I joined the company, I was able to confirm my view and understand how all these good impressions are consolidated from within the company. At Knauf, I had the opportunity to internationalize my career, interact with people from all over the world, exchange knowledge with great professionals in the global market, and at the same time find a friendly environment, with much to learn and with several opportunities for professional development within this huge group. In my seven years with the company, I was able to lead the development of an emerging country, build a high-performing specification team, find a successor, move to Germany, and in a short time, lead the International Training Center at the headquarters. I feel that I am in the right place to develop my potential, and I can't wait for the next steps in my professional journey.

What I particularly appreciate about Knauf is the diversity, equality, and integration – both among suppliers and employees. In March 2024, I started my career at Knauf Aquapanel as Junior Procurement Manager. I was warmly welcomed on board and felt the strong team support right from the beginning. As a buyer, you act as the link between various internal departments and external suppliers, which brings variety to the job – no two days are the same. I look forward to continuing to contribute to Knauf's success and growing together with the team.

When I joined Knauf in 2015 as a Specifications Manager, I stepped into a world full of opportunities for growth—gaining experience in sales management, dealer management, business development, and specification work. In 2020, my journey took an exciting turn as I became Country Sales Manager; this role enhanced my leadership skills, broadened my vision, and provided me with the opportunity to contribute to significant projects that shaped our market position. Throughout this journey, Knauf has always been a place of continuous learning and development, consistently challenging me and supporting my growth. Now, as I take on the role as Global Portfolio Manager within the marketing team, I am excited to bring my experiences to the global stage, work on impactful initiatives and projects, collaborate with commercial, technical, innovation, and sustainability teams, and contribute to our continuously evolving business growth.
